Sunday Sermon: The Lamb of God
Genesis: The Lamb Lies Down
I had to remind myself of the more definite Christian meaning of the
Lamb of God
Lamb of God is a title for Jesus that appears in the Gospel of John of the Christian Bible. It appears at John 1:29, where John the Baptist sees Jesus and exclaims, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
Many Religious and non Religious people in this world are at odds with John's reference and definition stated in the bible. To these people the following cartoon may strike a more accurate chord.
Our Lambs in 2018
Meanwhile at home in England Lambs are all around us. Let me first say that sheep are all around us and their continual escape into our gardens and getting stuck in local fencing as shown above is driving Marcus and Agata to distraction.
Adult sheep really are not that intelligent, can run faster than you can think, and delight in pooing just about everywhere you don't want them too.
And when the kids get out then we really have a difficult unpaid and un-thanked task of getting them back into their correct enclosures. To the local farmer (Phil), yes you are welcome indeed.
Baby lamps though are extremely cute, this cannot be denied I feel.
And I feel this applies equally to lambs of any colour
The last word inevitably goes to the Floyd. Gentleman please:
